The upcoming Haridwar Kumbh 2021 will be held in 2021 as per its schedule. However, with a capping by Kumbh Mela Entry Pass on the number of devotees congregating for the event. As informed by Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said on 18th September 2020.
Perhaps it is the first time in the history of Kumbh Mela in India. The Kumbh Mela Entry pass will be issued to pilgrims for entry to the religious gathering. However, Kumbh Mela is certainly the largest of its kind in the world.
Mr. Rawat discussed the matter with saints and seers also. These parties are a covenant with the idea of reducing the scale of devotees. The decision is taken due to the situation of coronavirus pandemic.
The number of Kumbh Entry Pass will be decided later as per the situation. However, the govt. will keep reviewing the same for sake of public safety.
However, Uttarakhand Police is getting tips from the UP Police team to execute Kumbh Mela 2021 successfully. The state police are seeking help in terms of crowd management and traffic management. They will be trying hard to perform the event smoothly.
The last event of Maha Kumbh Haridwar 2010 was heavily crowded. More than 80 million devotees participated in the event as per the govt.
